quick updates

Things are coming together great for our trip. I just got word that we are going to be taking the kids from the Taft Houses to the Central Park Zoo on Thursday. That should be a great time. I am super excited about that.

Here are some prayer updates:
  • planning; pray that our schedule and elements would challenge us and show love to those we encounter
  • finances; we have raised close to $1500 PRAISE GOD, but with a few new costs that have jumped on our tally we are still in need of $3500.
  • insight/on site; while in NYC we will all be sharing a message with our team, pray for God to use these times both to grow the team and to grow the individual who is sharing. You could also pray for peace as the students prepare these messages. They seem to have a small level of stress about this.
  • transportation; we were thrown a curve on our driving situation so pray that it will all work out fine.
Keep praying. Thanks.

Mad Props Peeps!!

The Garage Sale went very well. The weather was awesome and the garage salers were great. Very cheap... but great. We also had my yard stocked full of shrubs. We didn't sell many of them but it did add to the vastness of the sale.

Jenn and Allison worked extra hard pricing and sorting and folding all the stuff that was dropped off. They were up late late late Wednesday night. Thanks ladies.

Collin too. He was the only student to show up and help out Wednesday and mark stuff and get things set for Thursday. He did call everyone else a "bunch of lazy slackers" OUCH!

Mackenzie made some kick butt signs for the sale. She showed up early Thursday to put them out and then she made three or four more to let people know about the reason behind our sale. She did a great job.

Sydney and Ryder get some props as well for working the lemonade stand. And I mean WORKING IT!! I don't think Ryder put down his sign the entire day! They made $40 and threw it in the donation jar for our trip. What great kids... who are there parents anyway?

Mac you look sexy in that WOMENS leopard print belt.

Bekah worked customers over selling shrubs and passing gas.

Becca drew in people off the bike path and enticed them to buy the purple boots and other things they didn't need.

Gerald literally serenaded customers as he stalked.... i mean followed them as they shopped.

Carly did what she does best... look "fabulous" and get tan lines. (Kidding, Carly was at our donation station and let people know about the details of our trip. She worked the sale BOTH days!)

Zach was the shrub king. He lined up the shrub sale and did a great job with that until he had to go get his "trunks" on. Your an old man!

And of course THANKS to everyone who showed up and supported our sale.

Big thanks goes out to those of you who dropped off junk... stuff for us to sell. We filled up the yard that is for sure!!

All in all we gathered up over $600.00!!! Best Sale EVER! Eat that Niecy!!!

BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS

This Sunday June 24th

Fugo will be selling a wide variety of beautiful annuals and perennials to help raise money for our upcoming trip to New York City. This is a great opportunity to make your yard the envy of your neighborhood AND invest in making our students a catalyst for the movement and an example to all believers.

This opportunity came to us just yesterday afternoon so we wanted to let you all know about this ASAP. We will only be doing it this Sunday (June 24th) The plants will be at the gathering available for you to look at and take home with you. Sorry but planting is up to you. Believe me, you don’t want us planting them for you. We have may have green thumbs, but that is from the Fun Dip.

We appreciate the support and prayers that you all toss up on behalf of our students.

Thanks Again,
Fugo
